As a member, you and your family will spend a year exploring the wild forests of Africa, heading down under in Australia, discovering the jungles of Asia and much more! Plus, your membership is instrumental to the Zoo - funding exhibit improvements, Zoo-wide enhancements, professional development of staff and wildlife conservation efforts.

About Friends of Sunset Zoo
The Friends of Sunset Zoo (FOSZ) is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization whose members support Sunset Zoo through membership services, donations, advocacy and fundraising. For over 65 years, FOSZ support has helped to expand and enhance the Zoo, educate Zoo staff and conserve wildlife. Since the early 2000s, FOSZ has contributed over $600,000 in support.

FOSZ Board of Directors

The organization is governed by a board of directors. This volunteer board meets on the third Monday of each month at 6:30pm inside the Nature Exploration Center at the Zoo's entryway. Meetings are open to the public. Additionally, each February, an annual membership meeting is held on the third Monday.
